Hope Leadership Trust’s Inagural IWD 2025 Summit
Hope Leadership Trust is all about creating great spaces where women can grow, connect, and do well. This past March, we successfully held our first International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 Summit. It was an impactful event with the strong theme “Accelerate Action for Girls and Women.” We design and host transformative events that truly help women feel stronger and work together. Our goal is to build a vibrant community of powerful women who have the tools, knowledge, and confidence to break down barriers in their personal lives and at work, whether they’re in Kenya, the USA, or anywhere else.
For this first summit, we carefully put together a program meant to be deep and truly engaging for every participant. We brought together many inspiring speakers, including successful women leaders, mental health experts, and accomplished business owners from various fields. They shared their personal journeys and gave practical, actionable advice that attendees could use immediately. The summit featured hands-on workshops focusing on key areas like developing leadership skills, understanding personal finances, and taking care of your mental well-being, including special sessions dedicated to healing from past hurts and building resilience. We set up structured networking times that helped people make real connections and find mentors, enabling them to build a strong support system that extends beyond the event itself. Our team made sure the atmosphere was friendly, inclusive, and welcoming, so every woman felt important, heard, and inspired. From the initial planning stages to the actual execution, every detail was focused on giving a high-quality, enriching experience that went far beyond what you might expect from a typical conference. We included elements of storytelling and learning from each other, allowing for honest sharing and working together to solve common problems. We want participants to leave feeling refreshed, energized, connected, and ready to take faster, more decisive action in their own lives and communities. Our aim is to create a powerful ripple effect where the strength gained at the summit encourages women to uplift others, creating a powerful network of support and advocacy for girls and women across all sectors. Ultimately, we seek to accelerate progress towards gender equality by nurturing strong, resilient, and influential women leaders who can make a real difference.
