Global Impact Programs

Our Global Impact Programs extend the heart of our mission beyond Washington State to underserved communities in the Global South.

This initiative, centered on economic empowerment, education, mentorship, and wellness initiatives, supports and empowers women and youth in marginalized communities across countries like Kenya and Tanzania.

Through a culturally grounded and community-led approach, we deliver mentorship, skills development, and resource mobilization initiatives designed to build capacity, restore dignity, and unlock economic opportunities. We walk alongside participants as they reclaim agency over their lives, equipping them with the tools to break cycles of poverty and thrive independently.

In partnership with Olduvai Wellness, we are expanding our reach in the health sector. This project goes beyond basic care, focusing on wellness education and sustainable health practices that empower individuals to take charge of their physical and mental well-being. We are integrating wellness initiatives into community development, ensuring that health is a fundamental right, not a luxury.

  • Sustainable Infrastructure: This means ensuring that wellness is built into existing community structures—whether that is through safe spaces for physical activity or integrating health screenings into local community gatherings.

  • Advocacy for Equity: By framing health as a fundamental right, we work to dismantle the barriers that make “wellness” a luxury. This involves localized advocacy to ensure that quality resources are available to everyone, regardless of their socio-economic standing.

The Power of Proximity: In partnership with the Come Together Widows and Orphans Organization (CTWOO), we leverage deep community roots to identify youth who are most at risk. Mentorship is delivered by those who understand the local context, providing relatable role models who have successfully navigated similar challenges.

Breaking the Silence: Our programs address the social taboos surrounding menstrual hygiene, contraception, and gender-based violence. We work to ensure that every young person in Mathare understands their rights and knows how to access support and healthcare services without fear or shame.
